a hope chest for chest pieces

a hope chest for chest pieces

it’s mid-october, and chances are you’ve been hit over the head with the breast cancer stick so many times by now you cringe whenever you see that flamboyant color. well, i hate to do it to you again, but there is a certain little organization that you should know about.

my hope chest is currently the only nonprofit organization in the u.s. that provides funding for reconstruction surgery to women who have survived breast cancer but are lacking insurance or the financial means to get their breasts back. started by “lopsided showgirl” alissa savoretti, my hope chest raises public awareness about breast reconstruction, works to implement legislation that will require insurance companies to pay for mammograms or mri’s for all women beginning at age 35–and for women 30 years old with a family history of the disease, focusing on the importance of performing self-exams and starting at an early age.

mhc just teamed up with women’s thermal underwear, which will donate 50% of its commissions from october 1 through 31 to the nonprofit.

won’t you help these ladies help themselves? please?
